The market for parcel distribution has exploded during the last two decades and many suppliers of such services have been investing in automatic sorting systems. In the beginning such big sorting plants was not correct designed. The result was that even today all parcels passing such plant all get a number of big shocks equivalent to drop heights of 4- 7 meters. New sorting plants have solved such troubles and now we are back to a situation where the risks come from manual handling.
