Packaging can hold a lot of information. It can be statutory information, instructions for the different people in the transport chain, user manuals etc. For example the packaging can be supplied with bar code labels. This information can be photos, drawings, text etc. It is allowed to argument no further reduction of the packaging in order to make room for this information, because it has to be legible. Legibility can be documented through a focus group or by interviews - see TOOLBOX.
