This key figure can be calculated for the packaging system as total, and/or divided into key figures for primary packaging (inner and outer packaging), secondary and tertiary packaging. - Weight of each specific packaging material [for instance: kg fibre, plastic, glass and metal/kg product]
- Total loss of product (kg)/1000 kg consumed or used product. Can be divided between the most important actors through the value chain:
- Loss at consumer stage
- Loss at retailer stage
- Loss in production stage
