A shock tester (Shock table) is a plate making a free drop against different shock absorbers. After the shock the plate will jump up again. The shock tester has a brake for the plate in order to prevent more than only one shock.
Two different kind of shock absorbers creates eiter short and big half sine shocks or long and low trapezoid shoks.
