Some are performance testing a packaging system by many sweeps up and down in hours. The test can be reduced in time by adding more energy into the test. (More energy = more amplityde).
2. Harmonious Sinus Vibration in Natural Frequencies
Others are making performance vibration tests in the specific areas where the packaging system have natural frequencies. On every natural frequency the packaging system is tested a certain time and energy level.
Random testing is in these years slowly taking over because random testing is considered as more close to reality.
