After all tests of fragility you have to evaluate:
- Do you need packaging or
- Are you able to upgrade the product
In many cases packaging design is late in the total design process. For this reason you only have one choice of packaging to use.
If packaging and product design are done in parallel processes just a few design upgrades can save a lot of packaging material.
