A packaging design shall fulfil the requirements of protecting all in the supply-chain and the environment incl. the consumer. Demands can be from safe handling, child protection against dangerous substances, securing that the package have not been opened in the supply-chain, smudging from the products as greasy food products, etc.
Documentation can be obtained through focus groups, written demands from different steps in the supply-chain, standards, legislation etc.
