legislation - jumping around

  1. You first make only one design proposal for your packaging as near as possible to the critical area. Such a design proposal can be done either by engineering calculation or after the best experiences from earlier designs.
  2. Then you re-design the packaging system using different amounts of packaging materials in the area around the area you believe to be optimal.
  3. All your designs are tested at the same time. Some will be approved and other will fail.
  4. The design with minimal use of packaging materials and still approved by the test defined in legislation, can be accepted as the optimal packaging.
